Question 1

What areas does AD Cleaning and Painting cover?

Accepted Answer

All of Manhattan — from the Financial District and Tribeca up through the Village, Chelsea, Midtown, the Upper East and Upper West Sides, Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood. Our office is in Flushing, Queens. If you're just outside Manhattan, call and ask; we can often fit it in.

Question 2

How much does cleaning or painting cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the size and condition of the space, how often you want it cleaned, or how many rooms and what kind of finish you want painted. What we can promise is a free estimate and a price in writing before any work starts — no per-room surprises and no add-ons once we're in the door.

Question 3

What hours are you open?

Accepted Answer

Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Office cleaning can be scheduled early in the morning, in the evening or on Saturdays by arrangement, so it happens outside your business hours.

Question 4

Do you offer any discount?

Accepted Answer

Yes — 15% off for new customers on your first service, whether that's a cleaning or a painting job. Just mention it when you call or fill in the form.

Question 5

Do you speak Spanish?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Haydee and the team work in both English and Spanish, and this website is available in both — use the EN / ES switch at the top of the page. Call, text or book in whichever language you prefer.

Question 6

What's included in a regular cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Kitchens (counters, stovetop, sink, appliance fronts, cabinet doors), bathrooms (toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors, fixtures), dusting of all surfaces and sills, vacuuming carpets and rugs, mopping hard floors, beds made and trash out — on every visit, from the same written checklist. We bring our own supplies and equipment.

Question 7

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, everything. If you'd rather we use a particular product, or there are pets, allergies or a surface that needs special care, just tell us and we'll work with it.

Question 8

What is the difference between limewash and Venetian plaster?

Accepted Answer

Limewash is a thin mineral wash brushed onto the wall — it soaks in and gives a soft, cloudy, matte finish with gentle movement. Venetian plaster is a lime-and-marble-dust plaster troweled on in layers and burnished, so it has body, depth and a polished, stone-like sheen. Limewash is faster and lighter; Venetian plaster is a more substantial finish. We'll show you samples of both on your wall before you decide.

Question 9

Can you paint an occupied apartment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We move and cover furniture, protect floors and fixtures, tape off what we're not painting and clean up completely when we're done — including the dust. Most single rooms are done in a day; a whole apartment is usually two to four days depending on size and prep.

Question 10

Do you work with landlords, property managers and brokers?

Accepted Answer

All the time. Move-in/move-out cleans between tenants, repaints before a listing, post-construction cleaning after a renovation, and regular cleaning for common areas and small buildings. We can schedule around key handovers and showings and invoice per unit or per building.
